Designing a Dark UI That Doesn't Strain the Eyes

Dark interfaces are popular, but a good dark UI is deliberate. It balances contrast so text stays readable without glowing against a pure-black void.

Use layered surfaces

We build depth with subtle translucent surfaces instead of hard borders. A card at 8% white over a deep navy reads as elevated without shouting.

Accent with restraint

Gradients draw the eye. Reserve them for headings highlights, primary buttons, and icon badges — never body text.

The result is a calm, focused interface that feels premium.
